中文摘要:本文以功能语法为理论依据对英语问答式招生广告语类进行了探讨,从语篇结构上论证了这类广告的特征:语篇的总体语义结构由问题和解决办法构成;具有双重人际关系:作者与读者之间的关系和答话人和问话人之间的关系。本文的分析表明体现人际关系的语气、情态系统和评价系统为这类语篇的客观性和真实性提供了充足的资源,易于在商榷过程中促使读者进入第二层人际关系,进入潜在学生的角色,接受学校的文化价值,与其取得一致的看法,从而达到语篇的目的。这是这一语类的价值所在。
外文摘要:In the light of functional grammar this paper deals with a sub-genre of English advertisements — question-and-answer ads employed by educational institutions. It demonstrates in terms of discourse structure that this genre is characterized by its general semantic structure that consists of problem and solutionhood, and its dual interpersonal relationships, one between writer and reader, and the other between inquirer and responder. The analysis shows that the Mood system, Modal system and Appraisal system that realize interpersonal function in discourse provide ample resources to bring to light the factuality and objectivity of the texts, so that the reader is aligned and led to assume the role of potential student, acquiring the feeling of sharing the cultural values of the university, thus realizing the goals of the advertisements. This is where the value of this genre lies.
