外文摘要：This article discussed that we should classify and describe multi-volume books together, and pointed out that we should avoid the ambiguous standard that “whether the volume＇s subject have a independence indexing meaing” in CALIS rules, also introduced the description of multi-volume books in several aspects and discussed the shelving of multi-volume books.
