外文摘要：The paper discusses the common features and the classification of series of books, according to their contents, the forms of compiling and publishing, either with concentrative （central） classification or dispersive （decentralized） classification. While the description of series of books can be classified into “classification” and “description” respectively, it is flexible for them to be classified in accordance with the practical situation of the series.
