外文摘要:The neuroscientist and philosopher, Georg Northoff, has recently advanced and refined his theoretical framework, emphasizing the brain's dynamic and integrative characteristic within the spacetime it constructs. Drawing on a vast array of cutting-edge brain data, Northoff delves into the brain's dynamic changes and functioning. Key concepts in his approach include variability, intrinsic neural timescales, scale-free dynamics, and neural synchrony, along with their role in modulating perception and cognition to measure brain dynamics effectively. Central to Northoff's theory is the introduction of the dynamic layer model, which captures the brain's dynamic features across varying timescales, offering a robust framework to better understand neural activity. By integrating advanced measurement techniques with this model, Northoff provides a spatiotemporal neuroscience perspective that elucidates the intricate relationship between the brain's dynamics and cognition, contributing to a deeper exploration of the human brain.
