中文摘要：论文在英国文学的历史长廊里考察乔治·爱略特的心理分析艺术。爱略特在继承现实主义传统的同时,从四个方面发展了心理分析艺术:整体上把握人物心理的动态发展;人物心理矛盾成为情节发展的内在主线;从揭示心理过程的不稳定性和偶然性以及心理层次的丰富性来表现复杂的心理状态;对传统心理分析技巧的发展。爱略特的开拓大大发展了文学表现人物内心世界的能力,并以独特的心理分析艺术开启了现代心理小说创作。

外文摘要：The article tries to make the researches about the psychoanalytic style of George Eliot＇s early novels in the history of English literature. George Eliot developed psychoanalysis greatly from three aspects while keeping realistic traditions at the same time： holistic grasp of mental development; mental alteration being the inherent key plot; complexity of mental movement; psychoanalytic skill in blending traditionalism and modernism. Thus Elliot＇s innovation made a great progress in the manifestation of the characters＇ inner world and begun an age of modern psychological novel by using her unique psychoanalysis.
