外文摘要：Firm migration plays an important role on the development of regional economy, therefore, it attracts much attention of many economical geographers, regional economists and policy makers. And the theory of firm migration becomes more and more abundant and mature. We start with a historical review of firm migration research. Next an overview of theories which shed light on firm migration and the underlying causal factors is presented. In the end, we conclude the paper with a discussion of why and how the firm migration. research frontier can be pushed forward and give suggestions for further research.
