中文摘要：中庸思想是中国文化中的瑰宝,但它也是古希腊传统思想。中庸思想无论在过去、现在还是在将来都有它存在的生命力。中庸思想无论在中国哲学,抑或在古希腊哲学中都有其重要地位。中庸思想在现代西方文化中,则主要体现在政治制度上的君主立宪制、三权分立制等等,由此可见"中庸之道"在西方文化中的重要价值。

外文摘要：Moderation, a long - cherished concept in the Chinese culture, coincides with one of the traditional concepts in ancient Greece. The concept plays an important role both in the ancient Chinese philosophy and Greek philosophy; it is also reflected in the modern western political systems, such as the constitutional monarchy and the system of separation of three powers. It follows that the value of golden mean concept in the western culture is self - evident.
