中文摘要:神话是进入柏拉图哲学的一个重要维度,柏拉图在其对话集的神话叙事中融入了大量的哲学思考,神话对其思想建构有着重要意义。正因此,柏拉图对许多希腊神话进行了改写,以阐发自己的哲学观念。事实上,柏拉图之所以热衷于讲述神话乃至编造"高贵的谎言",乃是希望藉此对自身关怀的心智教化做出形象的阐释,神话是其微言大义的重要载体。以理想国中的腓尼基神话为例,指出他如何改写赫西俄德有关人类起源的神话,藉此建构其神学政治,也就凸显了神话的意义在于它是构建城邦的心智教育的途径。

外文摘要:Myths are an important dimension of Plato's philosophy and the mythical narratives in his Dialogues contain a great deal of philosophical thinking, thus contributing immensely to the construction of his philosophy. This is why Plato re- writes a large portion of Greek myths to express his philosophical ideas. In fact, the reason Plato is fond of recounting myths and even telling " noble lies" is that he hopes thereby to render a vivid interpretation of the intellectual education he cares so much about and he finds myths to be an important vehicle for subtle ideas. This paper takes the myth of the Phoenicians in Republic as an example and points out how he rewrites Hesiod's myth about the origin of man and builds his theological poli- tics on this foundation, proof that myths provide an important path for intellectual education of the city state.
