外文摘要：The Guangfu Association stems from such progressive groups as ＂YMCA＂ and the ＂Army and National Education Associa- tion＂ in Tokyo, ＂Revitalizing Zhejiang Association＂ and ＂Zhejiang Society＂ in Zhejiang province, and ＂China Education＂ and ＂Patriotic Students＇ Society＂ in Shanghai. Assigned by the Zhejiang Society and the Army and National Education Association in Tokyo, Tao Chengzhang and Gong Baoquan went to Shanghai to found the Guangfu Association. At its initial stage, Cai Yuanpei, a highly eminent scholar who earned the Qing dynasty imperial title and was an advocate of the anti - Qing revolution, was made the first president of the association. At the beginning of its foundation, the Guangfu Association determinedly set the anti - Qing ideology as its revolutionary goal.
