中文摘要：翻译是信息转换的一种方式。翻译中,译者的主要任务就是要准确解读原文的信息,特别是要善于捕捉词语所蕴含的潜信息,以求最大限度地把原文的意义如实地传递给读者。此文从概念意义、语境意义、文化意义和情感意义等方面探讨汉英翻译中如何处理词语潜信息的问题。

外文摘要：Translation is a means of message transformation .In the course of tranaslation,the main task of a translator is to accurately grasp meanings of the original,especially latent messages in words and phrases,so as to convey them to readers to the fullest possible extent.The present paper discusses the ways to handle latent messages of words and phrases in concept,context,culture andemotion in Chinese- English translation.
