中文摘要:在目前英语大班化教学的趋势下,该实验试图发现合作学习在目前大班化英语教学中对学生英语水平,特别是对他们英语口语能力的影响,以及学生在英语学习中对该方法所持的态度。通过测试、问卷调查和课堂观察等工具收集相关实验数据,并通过SPSS软件对实验班和控制班的测试所获的定量数据作了统计分析。独立样本T检验的结果表明在综合测试和口语测试中实验班均显著优于对照班。通过对问卷的数据进行分析,学生对合作学习持有积极的态度并且肯定了它的优点:增加了学生的语言实践机会,增强了学生学习英语的信心,建立了良好人际关系并极大地促进了学生的积极主动学习等。

外文摘要:With the expanding of the English class size, this research attempts to find out the effects of cooperative learning on the students' English proficiency, specifically their speaking ability in large-class English language teaching as well as their attitude towards cooperative learning in the large English class. Data have been collected by means of a test, a questionnaire as well as classroom observation. Statistical analysis of the quantitative data from the test is done with SPSS. Independent Samples T-test is used to analyze the collected data from the two classes. The results show that the experimental class significantly outperform the control class in both the comprehensive and oral examinations. The analysis of the qualitative data prove that most of the students in the experiment class have a positive attitude towards cooperative learning and acknowledge its advantages such as increasing students' opportunities to practice the language, enhancing their confidence in English language learning, establishing good teacher-student and student-student rapport and promoting students' active learning and so on.
