中文摘要：西方汉学一直面临着西方中心主义的责难,最近在对西方汉学的知识谱系进行反思之时,美籍华裔学者顾明栋认为,西方的诸如东方主义等后殖民理论,并不能有效地揭橥西方汉学在研究中国时所隐含的意识形态以及知识偏见根源。顾明栋提出应以汉学主义代替东方主义,但汉学主义由于仍然纠结于中西的二元话语,而未能走向一种面对中西共同的现代性危机之哲学思考。作为一种理论,汉学主义并未在认知架构上真正更新我们对西方汉学的认知,它的落脚点还是中西二元对立,其思想资源还是在西方后现代知识理论谱系之中。汉学主义未能对自身认知反思之前的现代性反思,其结果是仍然将西方现代以来的认知立场内化为自身的标准,其理论对问题的定位也存在着偏差。从根本上看,汉学主义的理论建构并无建设性意义,也未能从根本上提出一种有效的理论。

外文摘要：Western Sinology has always been criticized for its Western-centric perspective.American Chinese scholar Gu Mingdong,in reflecting on the knowledge pedigree of this field,argues that Western postcolonial theories,such as Orientalism,cannot effectively reveal the sources of their implicit ideology and intellectual bias in Western Sinology.He suggested replacing'Orientalism'with'Sinologism.'The author believes that Sinologism is still entangled in the binary discourse of China and West,making it ill equipped to produce a philosophical response to the crisis of modernity shared by the two cultures.As a theory,Sinologism has not renewed our knowledge of Western Sinology in terms of cognitive structure,because it still has the binary opposition of China and West as its foothold,and the genealogy of postmodern theories as its intellectual resources.Sinologism fails to reflect on modernity.As a result,it has internalized the Western positions since modern times and taken them as its own standards,so it is theoretically defective in identifying issues.Fundamentally speaking,the theoretical construction of Sinologism does not have a constructive significance,nor is it convincing.
