外文摘要：Xia Mianzun, an eminent modern Chinese prose master, is a representative of Bamahu prose, whose writing shows u- nique creation spirit and art pursuit. The characteristics of his prose arc as follows ： laying emphasis on the construction of self- personality, insisting on writing from average people＇ s standpoint, reflecting his plain art style, and seeking the telepathy and experiences by integrating Confucianism and Buddhism. It not only embodies the distinct spirit of Bamahu prose but also reveals the unique meaning and values of his prose.
