外文摘要：This paper analyses the present situation in the study of translation theory in China and discusses the necessity of establishing communication theory of translation. It elaborates the scientific basis and the framework of communication theory of translation, and describes the basic model of translation communication. The author points out that the establishment of communication theory of translation is a breakthrough to translation science.
