外文摘要：T＇ien Hsia Monthly was inaugurated in Shanghai in August 1935. As an English magazine, T＇ien Hsia Monthly advocated the idea of communication between Chinese and Western cultures, trying to translate and transmit Chinese culture abroad. T＇ien Hsia Monthly presented a large number of articles on the study of Chinese Opera, the translations of Chinese plays and comments on the English versions of Chinese plays, and created a precedent for the overseas spread of Chinese Opera.
