中文摘要：文化认同是中国迈向现代国家过程中遭遇的一大困境,中国不得不面对传统与现代之间的冲突,其文化认同与现代性之间充满了纠葛。负笈美国研习西方现代诗之后,叶维廉重新接续中国诗学,这也激发了他对中国文化的重新认同,揭示道禅美学的当代意义。从根本上看,审美经验是一种文化经验,审美经验的塑造源自文化的认同感,审美经验与文化认同之间存在着一种共同的结构,表现为一种文化政治。因此,后现代对现代性的彻底批判启发叶维廉重审汉语诗性的价值。后现代给予了基于民族文化重审现代性的同一性的契机,给予了民族文化作为多元文化的地位,乃至作为对现代性进行审理的思想意义。中国文化认同与现代性的冲突,在叶维廉通过跨文化的比较中被化解。他从西方对现代性的批判中看到了西方后现代思想与中国文化之间的兼容性,从而打破"五四"以来中西之间的对立,以中国的现代性诗学沟通古今。

外文摘要：Cultural identity is a great dilemma for China to move tow ards the modern country. Full of entanglements betw een its cultural identity and modernity,China has to face the conflicts betw een tradition and modernity. After his study on w estern modern poetry in the United States,Ye Weilian reconnects Chinese poetics,w hich also inspires his new identity of Chinese culture,revealing the contemporary aesthetic significance of Taoism and Buddhism. Fundamentally,the aesthetic experience is a kind of cultural experience. The shaping of aesthetic experience comes from the cultural identity,and there is a common structure betw een aesthetic experience and cultural identity,w hich represents as a kind of cultural politics. Therefore,Ye Weilian,enlightened by the thorough post-modern criticism on modernity,review s the value of Chinese poetic nature. Post-modernism offers a chance of cultural identity based on the review of modernity by national culture,and gives national culture a status as multi-culturalism,as w ell as the significance of review ing modernity. The conflicts betw een Chinese cultural identity and modernity are resolved in Ye Weilian＇s cross-cultural comparison. He has an insight into the compatibility betw een w estern post-modernism and Chinese culture from w estern criticism on modernity,thus breaking the confrontation betw een China and the w est since the M ay 4th M ovement,and bridging betw een the past and the present by Chinese modern poetics.
