中文摘要：核心期刊作为一种文献计量的统计结果 ,对学术期刊、科研论文有一定的评价功能。但这种功能不能夸大 ,对核心期刊的过度使用 ,会严重影响核心期刊固有作用的发挥。探讨核心期刊的起源、本质 ,剖析核心期刊学术评价功能的局限性 。

外文摘要：Key periodicals, as a standard for document statistics, have an evaluating function for academic articles and research papers, but such a function should not be exaggerated. Over-estimation of key periodicals may harm their function. This paper studies the formation, essence of key periodicals and analyzes the limitation of academic evaluation in order to have an objective and reasonable understanding of key periodicals.
