中文摘要：金本《水浒》乃有清300多年来国人、东亚文化圈和欧美资本主义国家人民最喜爱的《水浒》版本;其思想魅力来自评改者对农民起义一以贯之的由衷礼赞;但金批启动于明代特务统治最恐怖和《水浒》首次被官方定为“反动”之作的时期,因此乔装打扮也就势所必然;对金本“腰斩”的误解导源于胡适,成就于鲁迅,并延续至今,作为五四先哲的智者之愚,有必要加以彻底抛弃。

外文摘要：Jin shengtan's edition of Water margin has been its most popular edition for over 300 years since the beginning of the Qing Dynasty among the Chinese, the peoples of the eastern Asian circle of culture and European and American democratic capitalist countries. The ideological fascination of this edition stemmed from the consistent heartfelt eulogy of the peasant uprising. But, Jin's edition was initiated in the most terrible period of the espionage agency rule of the Ming Dynasty and the novel's being labeled as a 'reactionary work' and therefore, it was inevitable for Jin to deck it out. The misunderstanding concerning Jin's edition began from Hu Shi and was shaped by Lu Xun and has been lasting until now. The faults of the wise scholars who might be amiss of the May Fourth Movement Period has to be realized and correctly handled.
